The hardware below works with AquasManager. Each item has a level:
Level
Meaning
✅ Tested
In service on a real installation
☑️ Supported
Handled by the firmware and the interface, no real-world feedback yet
🧪 Planned
On the roadmap, not usable yet
The list grows with your feedback: hardware that works for you (or doesn’t) can be reported in the
GitHub Discussions .

ESP32 DevKit (ESP32-WROOM-32, 30 or 38 pins)
✅ Tested
The only board the firmware targets (esp32dev): see ESP32 board and relays
ESP32-S2, S3, C3, C6

Not supported for now

Notes
1 to 8-channel optocoupler relay modules (5 V)
☑️ Supported
Active-high or active-low control, set per relay
ULN2803A + coil relays (or interface relays)
☑️ Supported
See the wiring below; logic not inverted
6 mm DIN-rail interface relays (41F-1Z-C2-1 type, 6 to 24 V coil)
☑️ Supported
With a ULN2803A and a 12 or 24 V supply
The ULN2803A holds 8 low-side switches, driven directly by the ESP32’s 3.3 V outputs. An output set
high connects the ULN output to ground: current flows through the relay coil.
+12 V (or 24 V) ──┬──► A1 (+) of each relay
└──► ULN pin 10 (COM: flyback diodes)
ESP32 GPIO ──► 1B (pin 1) 1C (pin 18) ──► A2 (−) of relay 1
2B (pin 2) 2C (pin 17) ──► A2 (−) of relay 2 … up to 8B / 8C
Supply GND ──┬──► ULN pin 9 (GND)
└──► ESP32 GND (common ground required)
A 12 or 24 V supply for the coils (5 V is below the minimum of 6-24 V relays).
500 mA per output and 2.5 A in total: plenty for relays (about 16 mA each at 12 V).
In AquasManager, leave “Invert relay logic” (Inverser la logique du relais ) off .
A ready-made relay module (with optocoupler and IN1, IN2… terminals) doesn’t need a ULN2803A.
